Flooring Installation
Northern Virginia.

Hardwood, luxury vinyl plank, laminate, tile, and carpet, installed with proper subfloor prep for a finish that looks great and lasts. Serving Arlington, Fairfax, Manassas, and Northern Virginia.

What we do

Floors that hold up, year after year.

Flooring is one of the most visible elements in any home, and one where the quality of the installation matters as much as the quality of the material. Ventura Home Improvement installs all major flooring types across Northern Virginia, Arlington, Fairfax, Alexandria, Manassas, and Northern Virginia, with attention to every prep step that determines whether a floor holds up for decades or develops problems within a few years.

Our flooring work starts with a thorough subfloor evaluation. We check for levelness, squeaks, moisture, soft spots, and any structural issues that need to be addressed before new flooring goes down. We repair or replace subfloor sections as needed, install moisture barriers where appropriate, and achieve the flat, stable surface that proper flooring installation requires. Skipping this step is where most flooring problems originate, we don't skip it.

For hardwood flooring, we install both solid and engineered hardwood, handle acclimation of the material to your home's conditions, and nail or glue the planks according to manufacturer specifications. For luxury vinyl plank, one of the most practical choices for Virginia's climate, we install click-lock and glue-down systems with proper transitions at doorways, stairs, and room boundaries. Laminate installation follows the same careful floating floor methodology.

Tile flooring in kitchens, bathrooms, mudrooms, and entryways is set with the proper thinset type for the tile size, leveled with a clip-and-wedge system for large-format tiles, and grouted with consistent joint widths and smooth finishing. We seal grout to protect against staining and ensure the entire installation is cured properly before the space is returned to use.

For whole-home flooring replacements, often part of a larger renovation project, we sequence the work room by room to minimize disruption and coordinate with any other trades on the job site. Transitions, thresholds, stair nosings, and reducer strips are all finished properly as part of the installation, not as an afterthought.

Why choose Ventura for your flooring project?

We start with the subfloor. Proper prep, leveling, moisture barrier installation, and fixing squeaky spots, is what separates a floor that lasts from one that shifts and squeaks within two years.

We install all major flooring types with the same in-house crew. No handoffs, no coordination headaches. From demo of the existing floor to final transitions, it's one team.

We work with your timeline. Single-room flooring installations often complete in 1–2 days. Whole-home flooring projects are sequenced efficiently to minimize disruption to your household.

Flooring installation questions

What types of flooring do you install?

We install solid hardwood, engineered hardwood, luxury vinyl plank (LVP), laminate, ceramic tile, porcelain tile, and carpet. We can also refinish existing hardwood floors that are in good structural condition. If you're unsure which type is right for your space, we'll walk you through the pros and cons of each option during the consultation.

Do I need to remove my existing flooring first?

No, we handle demo and removal of your existing flooring as part of the project. We also inspect and repair the subfloor before installing the new material. Disposal of old flooring is included.

Can flooring be installed over radiant heat?

Yes, with the right flooring product. Engineered hardwood, luxury vinyl plank, and certain tile products are compatible with radiant heat systems. We'll confirm compatibility with your specific system and the flooring product you choose before installation begins.
